The mashup of scriptures in my Daily Light reading seemed perfect for the big and busy day ahead. I thought you may need and appreciate it too. Here it is:
Be strong and courageous
The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? – He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength. Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted; but they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint. – My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. If God is for us, who can be against us? – The LORD is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me? – Through you we push down our foes; through your name we tread down those who rise up against us. – We are more than conquerers through him who loved us.
“Arise and work! The LORD be with you!”
Joshua 1:18, Psalm 27:1, Isaiah 40:29-31, Psalm 73:26, Romans 8:31, Psalms 118:6, Psalms 44:5, Romans 8:37, 1 Chronicles 22:16.
I love the conclusion: Arise and work! It is only under the banner of his promises and provisions that we can rise and work, and thankfully, he has indeed richly provided.
